640+ Twi’lek Names

Looking for the best name for your Star Wars’ Twi’lek? Well then, we are here to help you out with your problem!

The Twi’leks or in other words Rylothians were a tall species possessing human features who dwelled on the planet of Ryloth, in the Outer Rim Territories. They had a pair of long appendages protruding from their skulls known as ‘Lekku’ which consists of muscle and brain matters and in general, the Twi’leks have two lekku but few individuals have four. Their skin tone consisted of a vast array of colors including green, pink, black, red, orange, yellow, white, blue, and purple. They were usually thin with males having ears with lobes just like humans; and the females had a cone-shaped organ for hearing purposes, in the same place of the head just like ears. The Twi’leks used their own language called “Twi’leki” or “Ryl” which involved their verbal sounds and a sign language using their ‘lekku’.

The female Twi’leks being beautiful creatures were forced to live in slavery living under the galaxy’s wealthy and powerful ones. Many other Twi’leks served higher powerful positions. Their internal body temperature remained much higher than normal human body temperature and the temperature tends to rise even higher in a state of tension. The Twi’leks mostly dine on pests.

The character Twi’lek was first seen in the 1983 film “Star Wars: Episode VI, Return of Jedi” directed by Richard Marquand. The name “Twi’lek” was not used in any Star Wars movie; later in the year 1987, the name was first mentioned on “The Star Wars Sourcebook”.
